Hospitality | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Along a dark back alley of the posh neighborhood of Damansara Heights, you will find a hole in the wall which leads you to the spiral staircase being the discreet entrance to one of KL’s hippest speakeasies. Once inside, space is divided into rooms evoking a house-like feel with eclectic furniture adorned with distressed vintage fabrics and highlighted by the warm red glow of boudoir style lamps. The stepped glowing shelves of the back bar are a focal point to the central bar which is framed either side by arches separating the rooms. The overall feel conjures up imagery of the times of the beatniks with their fondness for gathering at houses and unassuming bars and drinking and dancing the night away in celebration of their alternative lifestyle.
