Irama Hotel

A Thoughtful Evolution.

The transformation of the Grand Seasons Hotel into IRAMA by SOMA Architecture and Design is a masterful reinvention of the existing structure. The design overcame the spatial limitations of the original building through a careful reimagining of the layout, transforming it into a seamless flow of spaces. Repetition of form and rhythmic elements are woven throughout the design, creating a sense of harmony and continuity that resonates with the hotel’s name. Modern lines, rich textures, and natural materials—such as timber, stone, and metal—enrich the hotel’s luxurious, grounded atmosphere. The experience is carefully crafted, guiding guests through diverse environments that evoke different moods and sensibilities, creating a rhythm of discovery and connection throughout the hotel.

Natural Luxury and Warmth.

A key feature throughout the hotel, travertine anchors the design with its earthy tones and distinctive texture, bringing an organic warmth to the sleek, contemporary architecture. Complementing this is a selection of carefully chosen natural materials—rich timbers and stone—woven throughout the space, adding depth, warmth, and texture. The contrast between these elements and the polished metal accents adds a sophisticated richness to the design, grounding each space in a sense of natural elegance.
